Many of my students have never touched or worked with clay before. Since the pandemic, the hands-on, messy projects were put on hold. I want to provide my students with the fun of getting messy and sculpting an object out of clay, a material that they have never worked with before. I believe that my students will benefit tremendously from an engaging class away from technology and into a world of new possibilities. As a teacher in a Title I school, our supplies and resources are limited so please help our students reach their full potential in art by having great supplies and materials to use. Including ceramics into the curriculum is so important but the budget often does not allow for the cost of the clay and glazes, let alone all the other tools. These donations will be put to amazing use by creating legacy tile projects to keep up in our school as well as Treasure Boxes using slab box construction.
