Students in math interventions take another period of math skills in place of their alternative related arts class. They must show growth in participation, regular classroom grades and pass assigned benchmarks in order to move on in mathematics. The class is a max of 10 students with a diversity of cultures and learners. The focus is to practice basic math skills while increasing confidence in problem solving and practical math situations. The school has been placed on At-Risk, AYP watch lists and growth continues to happen with smaller, focused instruction classroom instruction.

About my class
