Everyone learns in a different way. Some students need to be able to move while learning. I teach Pre-Kindergarten students and I have a few special education students in my class. At this age, the students have trouble sitting still for more than 5 minutes. When you walk into my classroom you would see that my students are either sitting on a hard chair or a thin rug on the floor. I believe having the flexible seating in my classroom will help the students to sit and to be able to focus for a longer amount of time.
Flexible seating will help keep our students engaged in our lessons and activities. It helps them to be able to work together as a team. Research has shown that flexible seating will make the students happier, more engaged, and have more in depth conversations.
The products I am asking for will help the students in different ways. The wobble chairs and the wobble cushions will benefit my students that have ADHD. The chairs and cushions will help them to be able to sit down as a group but still be able to move. The colors of nature classroom carpet will help the students to stay calm while we are sitting down for rug time. It will also help the students to know they have their own space.
The flex-space comfy floor seats have backs on them and they will be great for those students that have trouble sitting up on the rug or floor. Finally, the flex-space classroom storage bench will give my students who cannot sit on the floor a place to be able to sit and be part of the group. In addition, it also provides a soft spot in my classroom to sit.
