The stands that will be provided, will allow pair of students to share stands as oppose to groups sharing one stand. This will make reading music much easier and allow each musician to sit a little bit more comfortably during rehearsal time. Students will be able to go off into practice rooms on their own without taking away from the materials needed in the classroom. At this point I have students placing paper on the back of the stands to keep the stands at an upright position to be able to read music. Students succeed when they have the proper materials in front of them. Since the first day students have been asking for new stands and I tell them no matter what your circumstance, you will do your best. Students know that stands don't make a performance but I know the smile they will have when we get new music stands.
