Covid-19 forced schools into new ways of teaching and learning....distance/ hybrid learning. Adapting to this change has brought on a different set of classroom needs. Using tools that can handle all the extra use of technology will make transitioning between in person and online teaching/ learning easier. These additional technology tools and accessories will help bring success and motivation to my students. Wireless earbuds will allow me to communicate and hear my students while online. Wireless earbuds will also help me to listen and participate when having virtual parent conferences and attending virtual Professional Development meetings. Using a graphic tablet will allow me to "write" on the screens of any computer. This most helpful and most needed for teaching Math when students really need to see how to set up/ solve math problems and draw models. The presenter/ laser pointer that I used previously broke after many years of use. Using a presenter/ laser pointer in class helps my students keep focused on what is being taught. It also allows my the freedom to move around the room while teaching. In order to use the additional devices connected to my computer, I will need additional USB ports to keep everything connected. Adding the additional USB ports to my computer will help keep everything connected and the classroom productive.
