There are 840 students in our public school who come from 20 countries of ancestry and speak 40 different languages. This diversity allows the students to demonstrate cultural tolerance and an understanding for all. In the last seven years we have been designated as a school of high academic growth and most recently a Honor School of Excellence. The teachers at this school are dedicated to the diverse population and respect and encourage the diversity in the academic lessons and discussions with students and their families. Our schools drives to meet the needs of all students and understands that every one that walks into our school has the right to learn. 21st century learning is done by using research based, stimulating, and challenging instruction that is relevant to the students. Teachers at our school collaborate with each other to provide best practices for our teaching. This project is a collaboration of all of the 5th grade ELA teachers.
