My students and I take pride in our school and library program, and I strive to make it the heart of the school for my students. I enjoy encouraging a love of reading in my students, but there are some students who are difficult to keep giving new titles because they read so much. This is a good problem to have, but not when I do not have a library budget. This project will provide new titles for student checkout. This project will provide new books for our library. Students will check out these books and use them for free, independent reading at home and in the classroom. Staying up to date on the latest titles will make a difference in student choice reading. The goal is to get students excited about reading by providing them with new book options! These titles can all be found on the Texas 2x2, Little Maverick Book List, Caldecott & Newberry, and Texas Bluebonnet Awards Master List.
