Students in our area are underprivileged yet hard working and intelligent. Students in our area are begging for opportunities to better themselves while at the same time trying to find things to do in our rural eastern Kentucky region. The ability to expand our eSports into gaming consoles will allow more students to get involved. Give my students something to do and be able to get scholarship money later. Many local colleges and universities now offer scholarship money to participate in eSports. The more exposure we can give these students to eSports expands their opportunities, just like playing athletic sports such as football or basketball. Students, by playing eSports, will increase their own opportunities for scholarships for college. Students will also learn great team work skills, hand-eye coordination, technology troubleshooting skills, plus help the lives of others on their team and school. These opportunities will give these students something to look forward to in a world where teenagers, especially in our area, are underprivileged. Students will utilize the Nintendo Switch and additional accessories in order to play games like Smash Bro's Ultimate in a competitive environment. This is an extracurricular activity used after school for students who have already played this and similar games. I will assist students in getting better at the game by coaching them. We currently already have access to games for the switch so the Nintendo Switch and the additional controller to actually play without using or borrowing someone else's console. The switch is required in order to play the games we already have access to and we will be following all state and local sporting rules.
