Flexible seating allows for students to keep their bodies active and minds focused. My classroom is an inclusion room for students with various individual needs. Many of these students have been diagnosed with ADHD and sensory challenges. The beanbag chairs, wobble chairs, comfy floor seating, and ball chair will benefit all students, not just a selected few. Students will be able to choose what seating option in the classroom works best for them. Flexible seating will allow my students to have choice, comfort, and movement throughout the day. Being a first year school teacher in a large district, funds are very limited. This grant will allow me to optimize the learning in my classroom.
