My second grade class is made up of 19 wonderful children. All of my students have different learning styles, but they all love to learn new things. I strive to conduct a student directed classroom. We do lots of group work and independent work. I model and they practice with partners, in groups, independently, and on the computer. I try to make the students accountable by having them take responsibility for their work. We do lots of informal and formal testing, so my students are aware what they need to practice in order to be successful in second grade. I have high expectations for all my students and push them to do their very best.
