I am a third and fourth grade reading teacher in an inner city school district. We have a strict school and classroom in which students are responsible for their actions and make their own choices for success. We strive to build strong readers as my class is centered around teaching reading strategies and providing support for my developing readers. My 150 students come to me each day to learn and develop their strategies in reading. We have a huge push this year for independent readers and getting the right books into our kids to foster a love of reading. I work hard as the teacher of the classroom to promote a positive learning environment in which ALL of my students are successful!
