Change classroom photo
By having the right tools to use, my students will be limited only by their imagination in our new STEM classroom makerspace. Saws, utility knives, screwdrivers, and hot glue guns are must haves for the students to put things together and having lots of colored duct tape will put the finishing touch on their projects. We'll need a shelf too, so that students have easy access to the supplies and can freely choose what they need to use. We plan to grow this new space by adding recyclables and donated building materials too. During the day my students will have access to the space for their design projects and after school we can open the space to other students and their parents who just need a place to make. We also want to stress proper use of hand tools so that students will be not only comfortable using the tool but know how to use it safely.
