My students are a beautiful group of second graders who are eager to please and eager to learn. I teach a class of 24 students who have a variety of special needs and learning styles. Our Virginia school is located closely to a military base, which gives us a large population of military families, who are familiar with moving frequently, attending many different schools, and often only having one parent at home while the other is deployed. There are also many challenges one faces when teaching the inclusion class. The learning disabilities vary in my class from inability to attend, processing issues, and dyslexia to name a few. The iPad will allow us to use different apps that address multiple learning styles and increase the motivation of second graders. Technology is all around us.
