My students are bright, motivated, and eager readers. Many of my students face unimaginable difficulties in their day-to-day lives, but despite this, they still choose to go to a school that would engage and challenge them in ways they never thought possible. Our school will prepare them to go college, and the majority of them will be the first person in their families to do so. When my students started at our school two years ago, many of them were reading well below their grade level. Through countless hours of hard work, seemingly endless enthusiasm and determination, the majority of my students are now reading at or above grade level. Not only that, but they've also developed an insatiable love of reading.

About my class
