My students need a rug that is large enough for all of them to sit comfortably on, as well as have their own space. This rug will get plenty of use during whole group lessons, independent work time, and for motor breaks throughout the day. With a larger rug, my kiddos who have growth spurts in the middle of the year will still have plenty of space! My students are first graders who have a lot of energy and different needs. The seat cushions will help provide flexible seating options to those kiddos who want to work on the rug, or who may need support for their chairs. This also helps our classroom's flexible seating model, and provides more seating for the kiddos who want a change from their desk.
