My students are 11 and 12 years old children who are eager to touch and manipulate items, especially when those items are scientific instruments. Many come from low income families with few resources, struggle with reading, and learn best through hands on lessons. Our school is the largest middle school in our town, serving 1400 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.
