I want use these resources to create a healthy classroom culture by helping students develop skills to manage their emotions, solve conflicts, and make responsible decisions. Research shows that students who feel safe and supported by adults at school are better able to learn. I want to ensure that my students feel safe, supported, and nurtured-to improve their chances of academic success. Through these materials I want my students to learn valuable skills like respectful listening and sharing. It will help me provide a safe space for academic risk taking- students have to feel comfortable being OK that they don’t know everything in order to learn.
