There are numerous apps and websites for my students to use to develop their social emotional learning. Some of the apps that I would put on the student iPad would be Calm, Settle Your Glitter, Verbal Me, Social Stories Creator, Mind Yeti, Puppet Pals, Mood Monster’s Yoga Workshop and Google Translate. While in the classroom, students use technology to learn math, spelling and reading; being in the counseling office should be no different! My students would use the iPad to assist in learning during individual and small group counseling sessions. As a school counselor it is my job to help teach students the most important life lessons. I think the iPad would be a valuable tool to ensure that every student is set up for lifelong success.
