I have selected a variety of seating options for my classroom to provide my students with different choices to maximize their focus. Research supports that giving children the ability to move using flexible seating options can help students focus better in the classroom. I have chosen 6 wobble stools that they may sit at their desk or the small group table. I have chosen 3 floor seats, that they may use in the reading corner in addition to bean bag chairs, or in a working area with a clip board or lap desk. I have also chosen 3 wobble cushions for students to use in a standard desk or chair, i believe these will be especially useful when we go to the general education classroom.
