The bean bags, cuddle pillow, and glitter wands will give students a calming corner in my classroom, a place, where they can help self regulate their emotions. Students have a hard time regulating their emotions and this makes it hard for them to focus and learn new materials in class. The calming corner will help me enhance the social emotional learning lessons that I provide for my kindergarteners. It becomes a tangible tool for them to use to learn about themselves and how to be able to regroup and learn.
