The students in my classroom this year need movement throughout their day to stay focused. We do brain breaks often and I facilitate activities that require us to move around the room. I have found that my kiddos have the most difficulty staying focused and on task when they are working at their desks. Sometimes, they literally look like they are "bouncing out of their seats"! I know that the desk bands will be beneficial for every student because it will allow them to move even when they are at their desks. Keeping their bodies active at all times will promote mental clarity and allow them to do their best work and succeed!
