My school's mission statement is to use outdoor education as a way to increase interest and learning in school. Fortunately our school is nearly surrounded by woodland areas which we get to play in. I teach physical education to students PreK through sixth grade. Over the years, I have added more and more outside activities including cross-country skiing, ice-skating, and snowshoeing to our program. My students LOVE to be outside. Disc golf is a wonderful fun activity which encourages physical activity that can be played at any age. Also, it can be played in the winter!
