My students are in serious need of literature that reflects the world around them as they see it. Part of the reason our book club has struggled in the past is a lack of money/resources to fund all that the students want to do. By giving the students full sets of the books that they want to read, we will be able to have group discussions in book club and encourage new members to join. My students deserve literature that reflects the world they live in and the values they hold. With these books, we can create a culture that encourages literacy and equal representation for all students.

About my class
