In chemistry, we study water and soil analysis. This is an applied geochemistry unit that I do. We go outside in the spring to do sampling and testing with field test kits. We need a portable chromebook to take with us as we record data in our spreadsheet. We test for many analytes in the water and 4 in the soil. Students learn a lot of applied chemistry while working in a practical application setting. It would be really helpful to have a tablet to use outside to adequately record our data.
