My students need these materials to increase their independent communication needs! They struggle to speak and at this age need to be able to feel heard and valued! What better way than to put that communication in their hands. The materials I am requesting will be used in small groups and individually during DTI sessions. The gift of these materials will give my students the ability to express thoughts, feelings, needs and wants. The materials will also allow them to be independent and feel success. My goal is to guide my students towards forming relationships with peers based on interests. These communication cards and materials will aid students to feel included with grade level peers.
