The students in my Transitional Kindergarten class come from a wide variety of experiences and opportunities. As a Title 1 school, the students come from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds. Some have gourmet lunches in fancy totes. Others are grateful for the free lunch program. Some live in large nice homes. Others come from subsidized housing. Some have access to technology. Others are limited to a parent's cell phone. Some have attended two or three years of preschool. Other haven't attended preschool at all. Some enter like gangbusters. Others enter timidly. My students are eager to learn and approach challenges with enthusiasm. Each day I look forward to meeting their expectant faces. Their enthusiasm for learning, fearless approach to new information and insatiable thirst for learning make teaching fun. I desire to provide a high-quality program structured to meet a wide range of learners.
