My school has a diverse population with 30+ countries/languages being represented, and many different ability levels as well. My goal is for all of my kids to participate in any lessons that I teach. Therefore, I look for ways to meet their needs and give them a little help so that they can experience success. This can happen in many ways. Some students just need directions read to them, and some need "counters" to help them "see" a math problem more clearly. A few need a few extra seconds of "think time". My kids are like little sponges and love to learn. They get very excited when they understand a new concept or can make a connection between concepts! If you could just see how their little faces light up!
