Students need access to technology tools that will assist them in 21st century learning. Osmo technology has a word application that consists of two sets of color coded alphabet letters that allow students to interact with the system. Students interact with the system and play games while practicing with letter sounds and recognition, phonetics and a variety of other standards based goals. The large population of ESL students in the classroom require resources that provide hands on learning that reinforce strong language skills. Using innovative technology tools helps to break the language barriers by providing support with some of the challenges these students face. Osmo technology will help me differentiate my centers by offering as much or as little support as students need according to their abilities. Osmo technology gives students access to learning in a one on one environment and will allow students to practice with skills that we have been learning in the classroom in a fun and meaningful way.
