I chose interesting and engaging books that will motivate students to explore authors they are already interested in. I surveyed my kids and asked them what books they would like to do for book club. These are the authors they chose. When students are given a say in their learning, they are more motivated to learn. These students love reading and our classroom library is missing multiple copies of great books that can be used for guided reading or literature circles. These books will help them continue to develop their love for reading while learning to collaborate and think at higher levels.
