These items will allow me to transfer my classroom into a more student centered atmosphere. The different wobble chairs and stools will help my active, high energy students to refocus and incorporate movement without distracting the whole group. The floor peddle will allow a student to sit at their desk and also get their wiggles out through strenuous movement. Many of my students have a hard time sitting in their seats and the material requested will allow them to rock and wiggle without bringing attention to themselves. The portable lap desks are perfect for my students who need a designated space to feel secure and in turn are not limited to a standard, classroom desk. All students will benefit from the tools requested through student engagement, as well as a calm and comfortable environment. Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them; whether, working independently or in small groups with their peers.
