My name is Meredith Buneta and I teach English Language Arts to 8th graders at Lincoln K-8 in Peoria, Illinois. This is my fourth year teaching, and first in this district. Peoria District #150 is committed to bridging educational gaps, especially in English literacy. Most of my students come from rough backgrounds and school is often one of the few safe places they have. I want to create an environment for my students to not only succeed academically but also to grow their social/emotional skills.
