My students are from a small, rural community and most homes have a low socio-economic status. Having a variety of quality instruments for school use is important to my students because the school is an hour away from any sizable town that would have access to private lessons or performances. These instruments are easy to play and have removable bars so students can't mess up as they explore musical concepts, create and perform. Melody, harmony, tempo, dynamics, note values and form are vital music concepts that students can fully explore with the use of Orff xylophones.
