These headphones will continue to enhance a media-rich English classroom where literacy is defined by the students. My classroom is a place where students read, but they also review TED talks, video clips, listen to audiobooks, podcasts, and they publish their work in several formats. Writing, recording video, editing and publishing podcasts, and reviewing peer projects are all par for the course. With these new headphones, my students will be able to demonstrate mastery of literacy skills in ways that they choose. My students love audiobooks and podcasts, and I look forward to hearing their voices as they explore what it means to publish projects aside from the traditional essay.
