My students come from diverse backgrounds, languages, and abilities. The flexible seating options will allow them to sit comfortably in our room throughout the day. I teach English language arts and English language development to all students in 2nd grade. As students rotate through my classroom, the seating will impact about 75 students. Using the flexible seating, I will encourage my students to practice mindful breathing and relaxation. Whether their seat is low to the ground or tucked under the desk, I am confident that my young learners will make a space that they can grow and be happy in. I utilize carpet time when the entire group is seated on the floor in front of me. Sitting on pads or other flexible seating can make a huge difference for my young learners. If my kiddos are comfortable and relaxed, then I am able to guide them in the lessons.
