These Tri Fold Presentation Boards will enable my students to create engaging displays of their science inquiry projects. These projects will be shown at school and county Science Fairs and exhibitions. Presentation boards give students confidence to show their hard work and demonstrate their understanding of the Scientific Method.
Funding this project will help create equity for this diverse population of students. While affordable and available, not all families are able to provide a presentation board for their child. This results in some students being able to display their project in a confident way, while others make do with what they can scrounge up. Often a random piece of cardboard. Sometimes students do not complete the project because they are unable to display their project. They simply lose the confidence to demonstrate their learning because their projects do not or would not look the same as their peers.
Funding this project removes an obstacle that will help all students confidently demonstrate and display their Science learning. It gives all students the opportunity to not only show what they learn now, but also helps them to seize future Science opportunities because of a successful experience in 5th grade.
