Greetings, My name is Bruce Newborn and I am teaching an Introduction to Digital Photography elective class at Hale Charter Academy in Woodland Hills, California. I am looking for help to obtain cameras for the students who don't have one or cannot afford one. Currently I have 12 students who do not have access to a digital camera. Yes, they have their phones, but teaching photography with a camera phone is like teaching painting with a paint-by-numbers kit. Will you paint? Yes. Will you learn anything? Not much. The same with a real camera versus a camera phone. Unfortunately, some of my students do not have access to a camera, so I am trying to help them and their parents by providing a camera for them to use. I am very careful about parents signing a liability agreement that says they have to replace the camera with a like kind or provide the funds to replace it. Thank you and I hope I can rely on your generosity.
