The scholars in K02 are smart, active, inquisitive, eager learners. Most of them have never been in a school setting so they show up everyday ready to learn something new. They have seen and been through more than your average 5 and 6 year olds, yet they rise above it all. I want to be more than their first teacher. As their teacher, I want to be the reason they come to school despite what is happening around them. I want to inspire and motivate them to think outside of the box. I want them to know they are capable of doing everything their little hearts imagine. But most importantly, I want them to love themselves. I want them to be confident. I want them to have pride in their work, their culture, their neighborhood, and their school. I want them to leave Kindergarten ready for everything that will come their way.
