I would love to have students engaged in story time activities. I want them to have hands on materials to help them retell stories they listen to. I want them to be apart of the story telling experience. The more involved they are, the more interested they are in the stories. My hope is that with these story telling materials, my students will start to love story and reading time and the love will transform into loving to read. I want to make reading time a special time so that they enjoy reading as they learn and as they grow. This project will be a stepping stone into their early reading careers.
