Students are not motivated with mundane reading passages and multiple choice questions. These reading, spelling and phonic workstation activities will substitute boring worksheets for engaging hands on activities. Examples of these workstations would be the popcorn sight word game. Students will practice sight words to build fluency, while competing to collect the most sight words. The phonic stamps are a great way for students to show vowel placement and spelling patterns. My students will love to get creative by using stamps to build words and create an art piece. The game buzzers are a fun way to bring smartboard reading games to live. They will make parts of speech jeopardy so engaging. I believe in making learning active, fun, and exciting for all students.
