If this project is funded, students will be able to choose between a chair or a Wobble seat when working through blended learning stations at a table. There are students who would benefit tremendously by being able to rock gently while engaging in small group lessons, working on a project, or reading a book. Some can rock back and forth gently on plastic wobble chairs that move like spring animals on a playground. Some of my students also sit cross-legged on pillows, or lounge on beanie bags, depending on the assignment. It's called flexible seating, and I have converted my classroom with hopes to improve students' focus and allow them to choose how they learn best. I have a lot of students who like to fidget or move while they work, and regular stationary chairs don't allow them to do that.
