I want to provide a solid foundation for my students diverse educational needs through the use of technology and hands-on manipulatives. With the use of the giant magnetic manipulatives, my students will be able to hang them up and use them as references and visuals all year long. This will also benefit my struggling learners who need the extra one-on-one support to manipulate concrete objects. With the use of the 2 iPads and the cases for protection, my students will be able to enhance their learning through the use of technology to help promote best practice in the classroom. My students will be able to use the iPads to practice their daily math skills with apps and websites that correlate with the state standards. As my students work cooperatively in their groups, they will be able to take turns and use the camera to take pictures of their learning, print out their pictures, and glue them in their interactive math journals to refer back to during the school year. They will use the memory card to store their pictures so the limited space on the camera doesn't limit their abilities.
