When curating my library, student requests and interests drive book purchases. Throughout the year, I have purchased a variety of book series at a variety of reading levels to ensure success at all grade levels. Our school culture emphasizes perseverance. Reading a complete book series, students can display this life-long skill and be recognized for doing so. My students have shown an increased interest in the How to Train Your Dragon series. This project will complete this particular series allowing students the opportunity to feel the accomplishment of reading an entire book series as well as instill a life-long love of learning.
