My students are a tight knit family. Most of them have been in classes together since pre-kindergarten, and they take care of each other. They are respectful, competitive, and are driven to learn! My school is highly structured, providing a safe, calm learning environment, however, because of the lack of funding, we do not possess the updated curriculum these children deserve. Students come to my class excited everyday to figure out what new objective we'll cover. They're usually content with yet another worksheet, because we keep it fun. However, research shows if students can actually experience the science through a hands-on method, they'll retain the information longer, and gain a deeper understanding of the content.
