These materials will make a difference in my students' learning by exposing them to new perspectives by new authors. These books offer diverse walks of life that can only be experienced by reading. The authors are men and women, they are multicultural authors and the stories are both fiction and nonfiction. To be a reader of the world, you have to step outside your own and step into the shoes of another. These books will take my students on journeys both near and far. I look forward to our class discussions after reading.
