My mission is to get these students excited about reading. Many get home and forgot all about the days lesson when they head out to play. With the books, the learning continues. Students will continually be exposed to new vocabulary, increasing fluency. Also, they will get to visit new places they’ve never been before via the settings in the stories. Sometimes it’s not always easy to make a real work connection during instruction time, books can make this connection. With the increase in vocabulary, students will be able to confidently apply their continuing knowledge to our rigorous standards for learning .
