Students in 7th grade at Dolan Middle School are called "SCHOLARs" and are part of the "Dolan SCHOLAR Academy". Being a "good student" isn't just about doing schoolwork. It's about being a well rounded person as well. In the 7th grade at Dolan, SCHOLARs are taught their usual academic subjects such as Science, Math, Social Studies and Language Arts. However, in addition to these academics, students are encouraged to look at the world around them and branch out beyond the classroom. They are taught to recognize habits in themselves such as managing impulsivity, finding humor, time management, and observing their surroundings. They are provided support when they are interested in trying something new or helping others. Our goal is to help the SCHOLARs make a positive impression on their community.
