Hello!! My name is Allison, and I am the new Media Specialist at a Middle School, and I am eager to fun a maker space in our library to encourage children to spend their time away from electronics, and to work on hand on projects that highlight math, the sciences and crafts. Our school covers grades 5-8, and our MakerSpace will have a variety of hands on activities from the kids to choose from, from DuctTape projects, origami, or Lego building, to Stop Motion movies. We are a former mill town, that lost our mill in December suddenly. Our already tight school budget has been cut dramatically, and our budget has no money to fund a MakerSpace. We are hoping to get money donated, to build something amazing for our students! Thank you for taking the time to look at our project, and for any help you may give!
