Positive reinforcement is needed to help kids to learn a skill. Some children with emotional/mental disabilities don’t take well to verbal praise to show mastery of a desired behavior. A way to ANY kids heart, is through their stomach! The items listed were student favorites from years past. They have to be individually wrapped which is why there is a lot of the variety packs. The candy is used for quick/immediate reinforcements in classroom and the chips/pretzels/etc are for long term reinforcement (students earn “bucks” for multiple days of good behavior).
