I would love to give my students flexible seating options. If the students are comfortable in their classroom, their attendance, concentration, and overall well-being will improve. One of the things I want to bring to my classroom are reading days. Curling up with a good book is easier when you are comfortable and able to spread out. Flexible seating will also help accommodate my students who have IEPs and 504s. Many of my students need breaks, time and places to wonder, and other flexibility in their learning. If they are sitting in a seat that bounces and moves, this will help meet their accommodations without disrupting the other students.
