Do you remember learning to read? For some of you it may have come easily, but for others, cracking the code of the written language was hard work! Secret Stories gives students students a story to latch on to and a visual hook when learning new phonics patterns. There are a LOT of patterns that need to be mastered in order to read. Secret Stories makes that process easier and more fun! Secret Stories® is a multi-sensory, brain based approach to phonics instruction that is designed to accelerate an existing reading program and/or phonics curriculum. Aligned with the Science of Reading, Secret Stories® is a brain-based solution to the age-old problem of how to teach meaningless phonics skills in a meaningful way, Secret Stories® cloaks phonics skills as “secrets” that kids WANT to know! Teachers Pay Teachers has many resources available to help support teaching Secret Stories in the classroom.
